Artichokes are a springtime favorite, and this recipe takes them to the next level. Grilled to perfection and seasoned with True Salt flake salt, these artichokes are served with a tangy lemon garlic butter that will leave you craving more.
What you'll need:
4 large artichokes
2 lemons, halved
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon True Salt Flake Salt
Black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, trim the stem of each artichoke and remove the tough outer leaves. Cut off the top 1/3 of each artichoke and slice the remaining artichoke in half lengthwise.
Squeeze the lemon halves over the artichokes to prevent them from turning brown.
Add the artichokes to the pot of boiling water and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a knife.
While the artichokes are cooking, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, True Salt Flake Salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
Drain the artichokes and let them cool slightly. Brush the artichokes generously with the butter mixture.
Place the artichokes on the preheated grill, cut-side down, and grill for 5-7 minutes or until lightly charred.
Flip the artichokes over and grill for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the leaves are crispy and the artichokes are tender.
Serve the grilled artichokes with the remaining butter mixture and enjoy!
