True Salt Caramel Apple Pie

In the heart of fall, the kitchen was filled with the scent of cinnamon and baked apples as a True Salt sea salted caramel sauce drizzled over a mountain of sliced apples in a buttery pie crust. Each bite of this indulgent dessert was a taste of autumn's warmth and sweetness.

What you'll need:

  • 1 prepared pie crust

  • 6-7 cups thinly sliced and peeled apples (e.g., Granny Smith, Honeycrisp)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon True Salt sea salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 2 tablespoons True Salt sea salted caramel sauce (for drizzling)

  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, flour, True Salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  3. Place the apple mixture into the pie crust.

  4. Drizzle True Salt sea salted caramel sauce over the apples.

  5. Place a second pie crust on top, seal the edges, and cut slits to vent.

  6. Brush the top crust with egg wash.

  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
